Rates published by Panama's Social Security Fund

CSS stated that the reform introduced by Law 462 of March 18, 2025 increases the employer contribution in stages.

For contribution months from April 2025 through February 2027, the stated employer rate is 13.25%. It rises to 14.25% from March 2027 and 15.25% from March 2029.

How to use the calculator

Enter a monthly salary to estimate only the employer Social Security contribution under each of the three published rates. The tool is intended to visualize the staged change, not calculate total employment cost.

Other labor costs, taxes, insurance, or provisions may apply and should be reviewed separately.

Why payroll should prepare for rate changes

A rate change affects more than the amount due. Budgets, workforce projections, and system parameters should also be reviewed to avoid differences at payroll close.

For companies with multiple employees, a one-percentage-point movement can be material to the annual payroll budget.
